About Emily H

Hi!

My name is Emily and I am a graduate student at the University of Oxford, pursuing a Masters in Politics Research. I also have been admitted to Harvard Law School and will begin in Fall 2026.

Having completed my undergraduate degree at Georgetown University, an elite US institution specializing in international relations, I know how daunting (and complicated) the application process can be. I aim to simply the essay writing experience and help you craft superb personal statements that showcases your unique talents. Attending both Oxford and Georgetown has changed my life--I hope to provide my students with the tools needed to pursue higher education at the institutions of their dreams.

Here's a little bit more about me!

I have been a reviewer of successful university applications for elite undergraduate and graduate programs in Canada, the US, and the UK. I received a 5 (highest score) on the English Language AP subject test and was admitted to Columbia's Creative Nonfiction Masters program. My MSc thesis at Oxford is a quantitative study on the investment and regulatory preferences for climate geo-engineering technology, a project that embodies my love of international relations, politics, and environmental security.

Before Oxford, I worked as a Junior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in the inaugural Sustainability, Climate, and Geopolitics program. Passionate about environmental security, I am also a columnist for Internationale Politik Quarterly's Carbon Critical.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service in 2023 where I won the Edmund A. Walsh Medal for outstanding achievement in the field of International Law. While at Georgetown I worked as a research assistant for three Georgetown professors and was the recipient of 4 Georgetown fellowships. Additionally, I received institutional endorsement for the Rhodes Scholarship.
