I’m a second-year PhD student at the University of Oxford studying how wind turbines interact with the atmosphere. Before this, I attained a first-class integrated master’s degree in physics and maths from Durham University.

My main tutoring experience was in-person at a secondary school where I worked 4 days a week delivering 1:1 and small group tutoring to students with various abilities and ages. (September 2022-July 2023) As part of this, I was trained by the Education Development Trust to become an endorsed tutor within the ‘National Tutoring Programme’. I’ve also tutored online through UK Open Tutoring since 2020 and worked with A-level students on physics, maths and further maths.

Education is received best when it is personalised to your unique interests, strengths, weaknesses, goals and learning style. I like to work with people individually to explore concepts in ways that work for them and promote strategies for success that they can take forward with them to learn about other topics.

I’ve built up a portfolio of study strategies that helped me achieve 11A*s at GCSE, a British Physics Olympiad gold award and 5A*s at A-Level, where I self-taught further maths and further additional maths. (Yes I REALLY love maths!) I’d love to be able to share these with as many people as possible because the best part about tutoring is seeing students reach their goals and grow in confidence and ability.

It’s important to me that all my students feel safe and comfortable during tuition, so I’d like you to know that I have an up-to-date DBS enhanced certificate, NSPCC: Child Protection in Secondary Schools training, training and experience for working with SEND pupils and EAL pupils.
