I’m a dedicated philosophy, chemistry, and mathematics tutor with a strong academic background and a passion for teaching. I studied Philosophy at Cambridge University, specialising in the philosophy of mathematics, language, and science, where I delved into advanced topics like Gödel's incompleteness theorems and interpreting quantum chemistry. Following that, I pursued Cognitive and Decision Sciences at UCL, enhancing my knowledge with modules in statistics, computer programming, and computational models of cognition.
I have been tutoring for over 3 years, providing personalised lessons in mathematics, chemistry, and philosophy. I’ve worked with students across various levels, including GCSE and Cambridge entrance exams, covering syllabi such as AQA, OCR, and Edexcel. My approach is student-centred, focusing on creating an engaging, conversational, and supportive learning environment that fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I tailor my teaching style to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring that complex concepts are broken down into manageable parts.
I like to think of academia as an ongoing conversation. My duty as a tutor is to enable students to understand that discussion and follow the places where it branches. My personal aim, however, is for my students to appreciate why we are having those conversations in the first place and thereby empower them to join in.
